Community Service

Ongoing Community Service

Random Acts of Kindness
Let’s spread some kindness throughout our community. Fill out the Random Act of Kindness form to earn one hour of community service. Certificates will be emailed at the end of each month.

YA Book Reviews
Have you read a great book that you want to tell everyone about?  Read a teen or tween book and fill out a simple review form. Your review may even be included on our website! You will earn one hour of community service for each book you review.

Teen Taskmasters

We are looking for friendly, reliable, enthusiastic teen volunteers to help out with children’s events. Volunteers must be entering grades 7-12 and be Wantagh library cardholders. Volunteers will help with setting up and cleaning up supplies, assist children with activities and perform other simple tasks as needed. Teens will earn community service for the time they spend volunteering. Fill out the Teen Taskmaster Interest Form if you would like to be a program helper. A librarian will contact you with available volunteer dates.
