Once you have located a material via our Encore search catalog, you will be able to see if a material is available, checked out, on order (not yet published), or only available at another library in Nassau County. Click on the “Request it” button on the right hand side of the material you’ve searched for.
You will be prompted to enter your fourteen(14) digit barcode number (no spaces) and your four(4) digit pin number. If you have not yet set a pin number, entering your barcode number and clicking “login” will send you to a page to set a pin number for your account. If you forgot your pin number, you can click “forgot your pin?” and a reset request will be sent to your email address ONLY if you have an email address associated with your library account.
Once you enter the above information, a reserve will be placed on the material that you’ve requested.
